About the London Halloween walk

Why not treat yourself to a hair-raising hike around some of the city’s scary streets and historic haunts?

There are 2 distance options: a wicked 10K Walk & a horrific 25 km Halloween Hike. All start & finish at the Dungeon, deep in The Oval Cricket Ground, on Saturday 25th. The routes take in highlights of London’s landmarks, some horror hot spots, and a few nasty neighbourhoods.

Once you escape, there are ghostly looped routes, with zombie rest stops, and if you manage to get back in one piece there’s a macabre medal, a glass of the Devil’s fizz, some horrific hot food and drink – and a souvenir bobble hat to ward off the spirits as you head off home.

You’ll start at the dungeon, near the Oval Cricket Ground in London. And there’ll be a rest point halfway through. The whole route is signposted with clearly marked arrows.

Why we need you

The Mikaere Foundation needs your support more than ever. One in three children born with NKH (Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia) won’t see their first birthday. This year might be the only year they have with their families. NKH is a rare and terminal metabolic disorder, limiting the lives of children who live with it.

By fundraising, you’ll help fund:

  • Groundbreaking research into effective treatment and gene therapy therapy for Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH) – drastically changing the outcome for children born with NKH.
  • Support services for children and families living with NKH. With NKH comes seizures, dystonia, pain and developmental delay.
  • Outreach to newly diagnosed families, so they have support in their corner, right when they need it.
  • Getting NKH specific information to families, nurses, therapists, carers and doctors.
