Why partner with us?
Our corporate partnerships have helped us to support children and families impacted by NKH, a rare and terminal metabolic disorder, no matter what their situation.
Working with us means we can continue to:
- fund much needed research into effective treatments, so one day, we can cure NKH and give NKH children a real future.
- provide reliable and trustworthy health information about NKH, so parents can better care and advocate for their children, and have some idea of what their life might look like with a child who has NKH.
- hold community meet ups, and connect families who have NKH. NKH is a rare, and meeting families living the same experience as yours can be so very powerful.

Ways to get involved
- Charity of the Year
COTY Partnerships are a great way to engage all staff across your organisation to raise much needed funds and awareness of the work of the Mikaere Foundation. We can work with you to drive staff engagement and form a mutually beneficial partnership for the both of us. We can help with speakers at company events, and team building/fundraising activities. Whichever way you want to work with us, we can give expert support to create your fundraising calendar, and build motivation and engagement with your staff, and in exchange, we benefit through the corporate fundraising that takes place, which allows us to provide support to families impacted by NKH.Getting your business involved in corporate fundraising activities is also a great way to boost morale and combine team-building with social responsibility. - Payroll Giving
Payroll giving is a simple, tax-effective way for an employee to give to The Mikaere Foundation directly from their pay cheque. Please email our team at hello@mikaerefoundation.org or see our Payroll Giving form.
What we can offer
- Help meeting your CSR goals, and building employee motivation and engagement
- Support populating your fundraising calendar, with helping your team organise events (either part of local events, or internal events bespoke to your organisation).
- Access for your employees to our charity event places, in events such as the London Landmarks Half, The Royal Parks Half, the Saucony 10, Cycle from London to Brighton etc. We also have places in events such as Tough Mudder, bungee jumps, skydiving or inflatable events.
- Provide speakers to come out to company events/all hands, to share what we do, why it’s so important and how appreciative we are of their support
- Provide volunteering opportunities for your staff. Please note: these are often fundraising opportunities, or cheering at events.
- Provide paraphernalia (posters, flyers, pamphlets, digital assets) in your branding to support your partnership efforts.
